Meet our Arabic and Quran teachers.
Chief Executive Officer
Shaykh Mahmoud Al-Assal is an Egyptian scholar and Al-Azhar graduate from the Alexandria Institute of Qirāʾāt, where he consistently ranked first with Excellent distinction. He earned Ijāzahs in Tajwīd, Ḥafṣ, and the Advanced Ten Qirāʾāt Program, graduating top of his class in all stages.
Managing Director
Mr. Luqman El-Kasabany is the Managing Director of Shaykhi Academy, an Al-Azhar graduate in Islamic Studies (English), a Hafiz of the Qur’an, and holder of multiple Ijazat in various Qira’at, with extensive experience teaching Tajweed and Arabic to non-native speakers. He is the author of Al-Menhaj, serves as Supervisor and Education Manager, teaches Islamic sciences online, and at age 26 combines professional training in child development, PMP, and digital marketing with an energetic teaching approach.
Senior Qur’an Teacher
Mr. Ahmed Ramadan is a senior Qur’an teacher and professional translator in Cairo, an Al-Azhar graduate in Islamic Studies in English who memorized the Qur’an at age eleven and holds multiple ijazāt. With over three years of experience teaching non-native speakers and translating Islamic and legal texts, he also served as an imam for five years, combining knowledge with practical guidance.
Egyptian Qur’an teacher
Shaykh Ahmed Hassan Saber is an Egyptian Al-Azhar graduate in Pharmacy who also studied Arabic, Tajweed, Fiqh, Tafseer, and Seerah. He is a certified Hafiz holding Ijazat in the ʿĀṣim Qirā’ah, with extensive experience teaching Tajweed and Arabic reading to non-native speakers.
Al-Azhar–educated Islamic studies teacher
Mr. Mahmoud Elsaid is a native Arabic speaker and an Al-Azhar graduate who memorized the Qur’an at a young age and is currently pursuing his Ijazah, with over two years of teaching experience. He teaches the Qur’an and various Islamic sciences using engaging methods tailored to different learning styles for both children and adults.
Al-Azhar–educated Qur’an teacher
Mr. Abdullah Moftah is an Egyptian Qur’an instructor and native Arabic speaker, holding a degree in Islamic Studies in English from Al-Azhar University. He also serves as an imam and preacher and is licensed in the recitation of ʿĀṣim Barāwiyyah.
Qur’an teacher
Mr. Nour Eddin Mahmoud is a native Arabic speaker from Egypt and an Al-Azhar student who memorized the Qur’an at 13 and holds multiple Ijazahs in Qira’at, Tajweed, and Hadith, and is close to completing all Qira’at. He has been teaching the Qur’an since 2021, works with both Arabic and non-Arabic speakers, and is known for simplifying Islamic rulings and using engaging methods suitable for children and adults.
Egyptian native Arabic speaker teacher
Mr. Saif Al-Metwaly is a native Arabic speaker from Egypt, fluent in English and French, and currently a medical student. He teaches Qur’an recitation, Tajweed, and Islamic studies to non-Arabic speakers of all ages using clear methods and has experience with various institutions.
Mrs. Asmaa Abdul Rahman is an Al-Azhar graduate with over 10 years of experience teaching the Qur’an, Tajweed, Arabic, and Islamic studies to children and women using clear and engaging methods. She is known for her motivating teaching style, strong focus on accurate recitation and memorization, and holds an Ijazah in Hafs ‘an ‘Asim.
Ms. Alaa Elbakry is a 29-year-old native Arabic speaker and a 2018 graduate of Alexandria University, with certified expertise in Tajweed and Qur'an memorization. In addition to her experience teaching the Qur'an online, she is a published author of two books and has been involved in charitable activities.

Ms. Kholoud Hamada is a native Arabic speaker from Egypt with over three years of experience teaching Qur'an and Arabic, leveraging her fluency in both English and Arabic to engage learners of all ages. She holds an Ijazah in Tohfa Al-Atfal and is known for her adaptable and motivational teaching style that makes learning enjoyable.
